Considering treatment in Lecheng?
Get clear answers first, then decide with confidence.
Lecheng is China's dedicated medical pilot zone, where a range of international innovative medicines, devices and advanced programmes are available under special licence. We focus on Lecheng only, in two areas: oncology and type 2 diabetes management. The first conversation is free. Nothing starts until the scope and fees are confirmed in writing — and every medical decision rests with the hospital and its doctors.
Available in Chinese and English.
China's medical pilot zone
Innovative medicines, devices and programmes arrive here earlier under special licensing. Before you travel, we answer three questions: Can you go? Which hospital is right? How does the process work?
- You don't need everything ready to talk to us — no passport scans, no payment details, no full medical file. Just tell us what you'd like to arrange.
- Two separate costs, from day one: our coordination fee, and the hospital's medical fees — quoted and charged by the hospital itself.
- If something isn't confirmed, we say so. We don't guess prices, promise outcomes, or guarantee that a hospital will accept your case.
Which of these sounds like you?
You don't need to know which programme you want yet. Choose the starting point closest to your situation, and we'll work through the rest together, step by step.
Why Lecheng: four things that set it apart
The Lecheng Pilot Zone is China's only medical pilot zone of its kind. Its special licences make it a primary gateway for innovative medicines and devices entering China, with a care pathway that runs from early screening and precision diagnostics to advanced treatment and rehabilitation.
Two areas — start with yours
Oncology
Options you can raise with a hospital, grouped by diagnostics, targeted and immunotherapy medicines, and local treatments and advanced devices. Every item depends on the hospital's assessment and quote — no bundled packages, no headline totals.
Type 2 diabetes management
We start with the framework that matters: specialist assessment, in-depth screening, continuous glucose monitoring, complication management and long-term follow-up. Stem-cell programmes, including the hospital offering them and the approved scope, are covered separately on the diabetes page; we publish no prices for them, and course length and scheduling follow the hospital’s written arrangement.
Hospitals, doctors and equipment in Lecheng
For our two areas, oncology and type 2 diabetes, we have gathered public information about the relevant hospitals in Lecheng: their medical teams, equipment and techniques. Sources are hospital websites, the Lecheng Pilot Zone Administration and published news reports. Whether a case is accepted, and which doctor sees you, is decided by the hospital.
Ruijin Hainan Hospital
Ruijin Hospital Hainan, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (Hainan Boao Research Hospital). Opened to the public in March 2022 and named a national regional medical centre the same year; it is currently the only public hospital in Lecheng. Its medical oncology department has introduced 17 new cancer medicines over the past three years; its endocrinology department was designed with guidance from Academician Ning Guang and Professor Wang Weiqing.
West China Lecheng Hospital, Sichuan University
Draws on West China Hospital's oncology and cardiology expertise. The Oncology Innovation Centre is directed by Shi Huashan (associate chief physician, Department of Biotherapy, West China Hospital), with Li Ping (chief physician, Department of Oncology, West China Hospital) as discipline director. Medical oncology is led by Professors Shi Huashan and Liu Zhigang.
Ciming Boao International Hospital
Also known as Lecheng Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University. In December 2025 its endocrinology department was approved to use a human umbilical-cord mesenchymal stem-cell technique for type 2 diabetes, limited to patients whose blood glucose remains poorly controlled on at least three glucose-lowering medicines including insulin. Vice president and chief expert: Zhang Fan.
Haina (Hainan) Diabetes Hospital
The first secondary-level diabetes specialty hospital approved in Lecheng, opened in April 2026. Its scope covers standardised diabetes treatment and integrated prevention and management of diabetes, heart and kidney disease. President: Li Yu.
Lecheng also hosts Panboron (Hainan) Boron Neutron Hospital (BNCT) and Boao Evergrande International Hospital (PET-CT, linear accelerator), among others; see the Boao Lecheng page. Doctor photos to be updated. We are not a hospital and publish no prices.
Four steps, that's all
For your first message, please don't send passport scans, payment details or complete medical records — just tell us what you'd like to arrange.
Tell us what you need
A free conversation — assessment, an appointment, or a complex case — in the language you're most comfortable with.
Agree what help you need
Together, we clarify what needs coordinating, which records to prepare, and which decisions only a hospital can make.
Confirm scope and fees in writing
The scope, our fee and the timeline are confirmed in writing before anything starts — no verbal promises.
The hospital handles the medicine
Case acceptance, treatment plans, quotes and treatment itself are decided and delivered by the hospital and its doctors. We handle the coordination in between.
Clear boundaries, up front
- Our coordination fee and the hospital's medical fees are separate. The hospital quotes and charges its own fees; our coordination fee is set out separately in the written confirmation.
- We are not a hospital. We don't diagnose or recommend treatment, and we can't guarantee that any hospital will accept a case or that any treatment will work.
- We don't guess prices. Nothing listed on this site carries a price; your costs depend on the hospital's assessment of your case and its quote.
- We do not arrange visas or issue invitation letters; only the treating hospital can issue an invitation letter. See the Process & Visa page for how visas work Our service scope — To be confirmed
