Considering treatment in Lecheng?
Get clear answers first, then decide with confidence.
Lecheng is China's dedicated medical pilot zone, where a range of international innovative medicines, devices and advanced programmes are available under special licence. We focus on Lecheng only, in two areas: oncology and type 2 diabetes management. The first conversation is free. Nothing starts until the scope and fees are confirmed in writing — and every medical decision rests with the hospital and its doctors.
Available in Chinese, English, Russian, Spanish and Arabic.
China's medical pilot zone
Innovative medicines, devices and programmes arrive here earlier under special licensing. Before you travel, we answer three questions: Can you go? Which hospital is right? How does the process work?
- You don't need everything ready to talk to us — no passport scans, no payment details, no full medical file. Just tell us what you'd like to arrange.
- Two separate costs, from day one: our coordination fee, and the hospital's medical fees — quoted and charged by the hospital itself.
- If something isn't confirmed, we say so. We don't guess prices, promise outcomes, or guarantee that a hospital will accept your case.
Which of these sounds like you?
You don't need to know which programme you want yet. Choose the starting point closest to your situation, and we'll work through the rest together, step by step.
Why Lecheng: four things that set it apart
The Lecheng Pilot Zone is China's only medical pilot zone of its kind. Its special licences make it a primary gateway for innovative medicines and devices entering China, with a care pathway that runs from early screening and precision diagnostics to advanced treatment and rehabilitation.
Two areas — start with yours
Oncology
Options you can raise with a hospital, grouped by diagnostics, targeted and immunotherapy medicines, and local treatments and advanced devices. Every item depends on the hospital's assessment and quote — no bundled packages, no headline totals.
Type 2 diabetes management
We start with the framework that matters: specialist assessment, in-depth screening, continuous glucose monitoring, complication management and long-term follow-up. Stem-cell programmes are covered separately and are confirmed — see the diabetes page; we publish no prices for them, and schedules and eligibility are set by the treating hospital after assessment.
Four steps, that's all
For your first message, please don't send passport scans, payment details or complete medical records — just tell us what you'd like to arrange.
Tell us what you need
A free conversation — assessment, an appointment, or a complex case — in the language you're most comfortable with.
Agree what help you need
Together, we clarify what needs coordinating, which records to prepare, and which decisions only a hospital can make.
Confirm scope and fees in writing
The scope, our fee and the timeline are confirmed in writing before anything starts — no verbal promises.
The hospital handles the medicine
Case acceptance, treatment plans, quotes and treatment itself are decided and delivered by the hospital and its doctors. We handle the coordination in between.
Clear boundaries, up front
- Our coordination fee and the hospital's medical fees are separate. The hospital quotes and charges its own fees; our coordination fee is set out separately in the written confirmation.
- We are not a hospital. We don't diagnose or recommend treatment, and we can't guarantee that any hospital will accept a case or that any treatment will work.
- We don't guess prices. Nothing listed on this site carries a price; your costs depend on the hospital's assessment of your case and its quote.
- We do not arrange visas or issue invitation letters; only the treating hospital can issue an invitation letter. See the Process & Visa page for how visas work Our service scope — To be confirmed
Client stories: real cases, published with consent
This section is empty — on purpose
Every patient story published here will be a real one, shared with the patient's written consent. Authorised cases will appear after the official launch. Until then, we won't invent names, reviews, ratings or figures.
Cases will be published once authorisedOncology: directions you can ask about
The options below are drawn from publicly released information on innovative medicines, devices and treatment programmes in the Lecheng Pilot Zone. Treat this as a list of questions you can put to a hospital — not a promise of treatment. Whether an option suits you, which approach would be used and what it would cost are decided and quoted by the hospital after assessment.
Diagnostics & assessment
Targeted & immunotherapy medicines (examples)
Medicine names and indications are taken from the Pilot Zone's published catalogues and will be re-checked against the source pages before the official launch. Availability changes with registration and stock, and is always subject to the hospital's confirmation at the time.
Local treatments & advanced devices
About prices — let's be straight
Public catalogues list reference prices for individual items, but those are single-item prices, not package totals — and several are marked “price depends on the specific treatment plan”. Until a receiving hospital confirms in writing, this site publishes no figures and never adds items up into a “cost per course”.
What you can do now: send us an outline of your case. We'll help you ask the hospital three things — whether it can accept the case, what approach it would likely take, and how it would quote.
Type 2 diabetes management: the framework first
Diabetes management isn't a one-off treatment; it's a long-term programme of assessment, screening, monitoring, intervention and follow-up. Below is what we can responsibly set out at this stage.
The management framework
Stem-cell programmes: a separate note
Two stem-cell programmes for type 2 diabetes are on the Lecheng register, and the hospitals offering them are confirmed: human umbilical-cord mesenchymal stem cells — Boao Ciming International Hospital; and adipose stem cells with high expression of GLP-1 and FGF21 — Hainan Ruijin Research Hospital. Please don’t trust online claims that attach these programmes to other hospitals.
This site will not publish prices for stem-cell programmes; for the Ciming programme the schedule is confirmed (3 infusions, 7 days apart, completed within 3 weeks; eligibility criteria include HbA1c 7%–10%), final eligibility is assessed by the treating hospital, and we make no promises about reducing medication or reversing the condition. If this programme is why you’re here, send us an outline of your case — we’ll connect you with the hospital for assessment, then give you a definite answer.
Timing matters — plan for it early
First, the diabetes stem-cell course at Ciming: it is completed within 3 weeks (3 infusions, 7 days apart), and Hainan's visa-free entry for 59 countries allows up to 30 days — so it generally fits, subject to the hospital's scheduling after assessment. Other long courses that need several visits spaced weeks apart can take close to two months, which 30 days does not cover. Please read the Process & Visa page and confirm the total duration before booking flights.
Process & visa
Start with the four steps. Visas get their own section below, because they hold the easiest trap to fall into: course lengths vary a lot by condition, so never assume 30 visa-free days will be enough.
Free first conversation
Reach us on WhatsApp or through the form on this site, and tell us what you'd like to arrange. For your first message, don't send passport scans, payment details or complete medical records.
Agree on the scope of help
We clarify what coordination you need and which records to prepare. The checklist on the consultation page helps you get everything ready in one go.
Written confirmation
The scope, our fee and the timeline are confirmed in writing, with our coordination fee and the hospital's medical fees listed separately.
The hospital handles the medicine
Case assessment, treatment plans, medical quotes and billing are all handled by the hospital. We provide coordination, language support and travel logistics Scope of support — To be confirmed
Visas, in plain terms
We do not arrange visas or issue invitation letters. What follows is the public policy framework; what applies to you personally must be confirmed against your nationality and your treating hospital before you act.
| Visa-free entry to Hainan | Hainan offers visa-free entry to nationals of 59 countries, for a maximum stay of 30 days. Short assessments, screening and single visits are usually arranged within this window. The main diabetes stem-cell course at Ciming takes 3 weeks, so it usually fits within this window too. |
|---|---|
| What if the course is longer? | If another, longer hospital-confirmed plan needs several visits spaced weeks apart, the total could approach two months — longer than the 30-day visa-free stay. The 3-week diabetes stem-cell course at Ciming is not in this category. Plan one of two routes in advance: an S2 medical visa, or a local stay / residence permit, confirmed for your nationality and your case. |
| Who issues the invitation letter? | The invitation letter required for a medical visa can only be issued by the treating hospital — a coordinator cannot issue one. Whether we can help you request one depends on the hospital's process To be confirmed by the hospital |
| Treatment on the mainland is different | If your treatment is in a mainland Chinese city rather than Lecheng, Hainan, an S2 visa is generally required. That is separate from Hainan's visa-free policy — don't mix the two. |
| The right order | Confirm the hospital's plan and total duration first, then choose your visa route, and only then book flights and accommodation. Reverse that order and the most common problem follows: you arrive, your stay runs out, and the course isn't finished. |
Policy source: Hainan's published visa-free policy for 59 countries. The latest rules of Chinese embassies and consulates and of Hainan's exit-entry authorities take precedence.
Fee boundaries
- Two separate costs: the coordination fee you pay us, and the medical fees you pay the hospital — listed separately and paid separately from day one.
- Coordination fee schedule To be confirmed — to be published once finalised Until the service scope is settled, this site posts no price list. In a formal consultation, the written confirmation states the amount, what it covers and from which step it is charged.
- Medical fees are quoted and charged by the hospital. We never collect them on the hospital's behalf and never add anything to a quote — you see the hospital's quote directly.
- Fees for check-ups and assessments are likewise subject to hospital confirmation. This site does not collect medical fees in advance.
Frequently asked questions
Where we can't answer yet, the answer says so — and why. We'll update this page as things are confirmed.
No. We are a medical coordination service — enquiries, document preparation, appointment coordination and travel logistics. Diagnosis, case acceptance, treatment plans and medical billing all rest with Lecheng's hospitals and doctors. We don't diagnose, and we don't recommend specific treatments.
We can't give a responsible total at this stage. For the same condition, costs vary widely by hospital, plan and number of sessions, and depend on the hospital's assessment and quote for your case. This site publishes no programme prices. Send us an outline of your case, and we'll help you confirm whether a hospital can accept it and how it would quote — before we talk money.
Yes — the programmes and hospitals are confirmed: human umbilical-cord mesenchymal stem cells at Boao Ciming International Hospital, and GLP-1/FGF21 high-expression adipose stem cells at Hainan Ruijin Research Hospital. We don’t publish prices on this site; the Ciming course schedule is confirmed (3 infusions, 7 days apart, completed within 3 weeks), eligibility is decided by the hospital after reviewing your case, and we don’t promise outcomes. Submit an outline of your case, and we’ll arrange the hospital assessment before replying.
It depends on the plan. The main diabetes stem-cell course at Ciming takes 3 weeks, so the 30 visa-free days are generally enough, subject to the hospital's scheduling after assessment; short assessments and single visits usually fit too. But if another, longer plan involves several visits spaced weeks apart, the total could approach two months, which 30 visa-free days don't cover — you'd need to arrange an S2 medical visa or a local stay permit in advance. Only the treating hospital can issue the invitation letter. The order matters: confirm the plan's duration first, then the visa, then book travel.
The first conversation is free. Before formal coordination begins, we put the service scope and coordination fee in writing for your agreement — nothing starts until you agree, and the written terms apply from there. Our fee and the hospital's medical fees are two separate costs: medical fees are quoted and charged by the hospital, and we never collect them on its behalf. The detailed fee schedule will be published once finalised To be confirmed — to be announced
An outline is enough: what you'd like to arrange, your current diagnosis and the gist of your key test results. Do not send passport scans, payment details or complete original records at first contact. Once we've agreed the scope in writing, we'll send you a list of what's needed. The checklist tool on the consultation page helps you put it together in one go.
We only promise what we can keep: general enquiries are answered as promptly as we can, while complex questions involving medical records take longer — we check them internally and, where necessary, confirm with a hospital first. Please include your time zone and the times that suit you, and we'll reply on your schedule To be confirmed — response times to be finalised
This site is available in Chinese, English, Russian, Spanish and Arabic. Consultation and in-hospital language support for Arabic, Russian and other languages must be confirmed item by item before we can promise it To be confirmed — please tell us which language you need when you enquire.
